The sixth is “The Hollow King” from Sony. It’s an adaptation of a Japanese legend about a king who became nothing. His body is an empty cloak, his voice an echo. He searches for someone who can “fill” him—through honesty. The film is shot in the style of Haruki Murakami: scenes flow into one another like dreams. Each character speaks in reverse—what they say is the opposite of what they feel.

The seventh is “Echoes of Atlantis” from Universal. Not about utopia, but about how a vanishing civilization leaves traces in the subconscious. People all over the world begin to have the same dream: an underwater temple where women with fish tails sing. They sing in a language that doesn’t exist. Their voices move viewers to tears, even if they don’t know why. The film is an exploration of the collective unconscious.

The eighth is “The Children of the Moon” from A24. Shot in Iceland, this film is about children born under a lunar eclipse. They don’t age—but they lose their emotions. One of them decides to find the “first person” who gave birth to her—and discovers it’s herself, from the future. Time isn’t linear here. Every frame is a mirror. Every scene is a reflection of another.

Ninth: “The Language of Trees” by A24. This is a story about the language spoken by trees. People living in the forests hear them—and know what will happen tomorrow. The heroine, a linguist, tries to record this language. But the more she records, the less she understands. In the end, she becomes a tree. The film was shot without actors—only the sounds of nature, the breath of the wind, the crackling of branches.

Tenth: “The Last Dreamer” by Netflix. This is the end of an era. Humanity no longer dreams. Dreams have become rare. One boy is the only one who continues to dream. His dreams are the future. And he knows the Earth will die in 17 years. The government wants to destroy him. But his dreams have already spread. And now millions of people are beginning to see the same thing. The film ends not with an explosion, but with silence. And the first sound is children’s laughter.
